Literacy and Computer Literacy

We as people have to start being responsible for our students. "It takes a villiage to teach a student". We should first start by holding the teachers responsible for make sure that student utilizes computers on whatever level that is possible. Students that are required to utilizes computers whether it be from home, school or the public library will be forced to make that connection and become literate with the usage and the understanding of computers. If the pressure is put on teachers to utilizes computers in some way to educate their students the weight will then fall on the students as well as the parents. This in return will force parents and educators to work together and focus on where technology is taking us. The bridge between cultures can also be changed by going back to standard ways of how immagrants were taught to read and write in specified class setting for that purpose. The gap between illiteracy and literacy can be closed but "It takes a villiage to teach a student". The end result must be that higher education must be on a higher standard than sports or any other entertainment.
